The Executive Committee and Annual General Meeting

At the Annual General Meeting members of the UK Deans of Science will elect the Executive Committee, comprising: a Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and up to six other members. Regard will be exercised in achieving balance from the main regions in the UK as represented by the HE Funding Councils and the national geographical distribution of members.

The Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and members of the Executive Committee will normally be elected to office for three years.

One third of the members of the Executive Committee will retire each year.

Officers and members of the Executive Committee will be eligible for re-election after three years of office but will be ineligible for re-election after periods of service.

The retiring Chair and Secretary will be ex officio members of the Executive Committee for two further years after their period of office terminates.

The Treasurer will present audited accounts for the Deans of Science Committee at each Annual General Meeting of the Committee.
